Becoming Fully PresentTake some time to consider other people's gifts that enhances your life and thank God for those gifts. Now take some time to thank God for the gifts God has placed inside of you (be very spesific what gifts you see in your own life that was uniquely given to you). Ask God to speak in return.
1 Kings 17:12-14
12 And she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. And now I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it and die.” 13 And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said. But first make me a little cake of it and bring it to me, and afterward make something for yourself and your son. 14 For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth.’” 15 And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days. 16 The jar of flour was not spent, neither did the jug of oil become empty, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by Elijah.

Reflection QuestionsWhich part of the scripture or quote stands out for you? How do your gifts revive the hope of those who have given up or ready to give up? When you feel like you have nothing to offer, how does that affect your ability to be a gift to others? Who are the people in your life that you can trust not to take advantage/abuse your ability to be a gift to them?
Training ExerciseAt the end of each day reflect where you’ve compared yourself to others and envy or jealousy was a result. Ask God for the Grace to feel valued just the way you are, to change your heart.
Blessing for the weekMay God send your way people who will not abuse your desire and ability to be a gift to others.
I am Anathi Pefile , born in the Eastern Cape, came to joburg as a result of my mother seeking greener pastures. As I grew older I realized that the pastures weren’t so green after all. I am a young person who is passionate about self-love and acceptance amongst those who have been taught to reject themselves for whatever reasons. I like to spend my time thinking about creative ways of bringing about change especially in young people’s lives. I also love to just be with friends who are duty free as I spend most of my time thinking about how to make the world a better place its always nice to have friends whom I can just be with without any sense of duty/responsibility.
